In the rear-wheel-drive version, a single electric motor with 299 horsepower is installed, combined with a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 51.1 kWh, enabling an electric range of up to 166 miles according to the WLTC cycle.
A variant with an NMC battery with a capacity of 65.2 kWh is also available, providing an electric range of up to 211 miles without starting the internal combustion engine. The same battery is used in the all-wheel-drive version, where an additional 218-horsepower electric motor is located on the front axle, while the range is reduced to 199 miles according to WLTC. The full market debut of the Volkswagen ID. ERA 9X in China is planned for later this year.
